Can I buy a lot in the MUM North Campus Village and build my own home?
In the past it was possible to purchase a lot from us, however we are now sold out. Our remaining vacant lots are all earmarked for our own building projects that are scheduled to take place this year and next. However, we have a variety of pre-designed homes and condos in our plans one of which may meet your needs. These projects will be located on some of our most deluxe, tree-lined lots. If I reserve one of your homes under construction will I get some finish options?
Yes, you can reserve a spec home under construction with a non-refundable deposit. If you reserve the home before the interior finishes are purchased (usually before the drywall stage of construction begins) you will have some options to personalize the home. Generally these will include color options for flooring, cabinets, countertops, and interior paint.

If I buy a home in the MUM North Campus Village will I own the lot ?
Yes. You will hold title to the lot when you purchase one of our homes (unless you are MUM staff or faculty and are required to lease the lot from the University).

Will I have to pay dues to a homeowners' association ?
Yes. The MUM North Campus Village has a homeowner's association and dues are collected from all its Members to take care of the streets and common areas. Dues are calculated based on the size of your lot and the number of dwelling units you own. As a Member of the North Campus Village Homeowners' Association you will have the opportunity to vote on all issues and serve as a board member or an officer.

How restrictive are the covenants in the MUM North Campus Village ?
The covenants that govern the MUM North Campus Village are very typical of those used in subdivisions throughout the country. When we formed the subdivision we used the covenants of other subdivisions as a model for our own. We do have one unique section in our covenants, however. There is a requirement that owners be associated in some way with Maharishi University of Management (for example, a TM meditator, a dome participant, a faculty or staff member).
